2011 U Can Food Drive
Well folks we made it through Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before you know it. This week we kicked off the annual U Can Share Food Drive and once again we are asking our listeners to come out and show the people of Lubbock that FMX listeners really rock!
Once again KCBD 11 and FMX are out at the United at 82nd and Frankford taken donations for the more than 80, 000 people on the Southplains who need a little help feeding their families. Of those 1 in 4 are children, that’s way too many kids going to bed at night hungry!
Here is how you can help, now through Decemeber 10th take your donations (or stop in the store ) of non parisahable food items (no glass please) and simply drop it off at the truck on the way out of the parking lot.
Or if you don’t want to deal with getting out in the cold you can even dontate online at www.spfb.org or by phone at 806-741-4747.
Here is a list of suggested items…
Peanut Butter, Cereal, macarioni and Cheese, Rice, Dry Beans, Canned Vegetables, Canned Fruits, Canned Tuna, Canned Chicken,Canned Ham, Spam, Soup with Meat, Dry Pasta, Hamburger Helper, Spagehtti Sauce, Crackers, or any other canned, dried, or packaged non parishable food items.
Be sure to listen to FMX everyday for the “item of the day.”
Let’s pull together again this year and help out those in our community who are less fortunate than us, we never know when it might be us or someone we love who needs a little help.
