The Lions Club Pancake Festival Brought the Friends, Fun & Food

On the surface, the Lions Club Pancake Festival almost seems like an old-school event. I'm here to tell you that behind the scenes we have a blast every year. We flipped pancakes with Josh Abbott's dad, hung out with Terri and the crew from KLBK and even staged a little bit of a contest.

I don't know what the final numbers for this years festival were, but this event generally serves about 16,000 people. That's a lot of pancakes.

There certainly seemed to be no shortage of takers, and Heathen and I cooked up hundreds of pancakes during the early shift.

Now, at some point Heathen engaged in a syrup chugging contest with the President of the Lions Club. To say it was epic (and gross) would be an understatement.
