If someone would have asked me back at the first of this year what I thought I would remember most about 2016, I honestly would never have guessed it would be for the number of icons the world would lose in the following months.

David Bowie, Glenn Frey, Abe Vigoda, Paul Kantner, Maurice White, Denise Mattews aka Vanity, George Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, Garry Shandling, Merle Haggard, Prince, Morley Safer, Muhammad Ali, and John Saunders just to name a few.

And now...Gene Wilder. He'll always be the 'The Waco Kid' to me.

So many extremely talented people taken from us too soon.

If there is a bright spot in any of this is that each left us with videos and recordings of their talent and accomplishments.

While I know death is inevitable for us all when it takes a legend from us it stings.
