34th And University Remains Under Construction

The City Of Lubbock estimates it will be another week before the intersection at 34th and Unversity is back up to speed.

The area which buckled under severe heat has been under construction for a couple of weeks now. Work is now going to shift to Westbound lanes with University to Akron closed for business.  Motorists in the area will be detoured and you're advised to just steer clear if you can.

Weather and other delays could delay the repairs but "approximately a week" is the official timeline.
