Faith is a brave 11-year-old Lubbock girl who is battling a disorder known as Gastroparesis.

She's been suffering from this disorder for the last three years, and doctors have been unable to determine the cause of the disorder.

What is gastroparesis? From Medicinenet.com:

Gastroparesis means weakness of the muscles of the stomach. Gastroparesis results in poor grinding of food in the stomach into small particles and slow emptying of food from the stomach into the small intestine.

The family is preparing for a trip to Cook's Children's in Fort Worth as Faith's body is now rejecting food and water. She now has to be on a feeding tube to ensure that her body gets the nutrition that it needs to function.

A fundraiser carwash will be held on Saturday, July 7th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Advance Auto Parts at 1102 Ave. Q to help raise funds for the expenses the family will be dealing with.

Please get out there and help if you can, this is a brave young lady who should be enjoying her childhood not spending time in a hospital and every bit counts.
