Add Another Epic Burger To Your Menu

I am a "burger" guy.  Nine times out of ten I would rather have a hamburger than a steak. For this reason, I'm always trying the new burgers out there.  I have a new favorite.

So even a 'burger' guy get's a little tired of the same ole, same ole.  I've tried green chili burgers, wasabi burgers, burgers with horseradish mayo, barbeque burgers, chili burgers and pretty much every kind of cheese, bacon, peppers or whatever available (I still can't bring myself to try the popular "fried egg on top" burgers though). So with all of this in mind, I thought I'd give the "Supersonic Island Fire Double" a shot.  Now, for me, this burger had two strikes against it.  I don't like sweet stuff on my burgers (it's advertised as having "sweet & spicy habenero sauce ) and usually anything that says "Island" is going to have some pineapple on it.

First off...NO pineapple. I was already a happy boy.  Next double cheese. Pepperjack and Cheddar. Bacon. Two patties. Lettuce & tomato...this is almost a no-lose proposition....and YES!  WE  HAVE A WINNER.  The habenero sauce is perfect. It's just a touch of sweet and just a touch of hot.  I like hot stuff as much as the next guy, but it shouldn't overwhelm everything else. It's just enough hot to make you think "POW-this is something different". It's also the kind of hot that hits and leaves, it doesn't hang around.

I know a lot of you are always going to want "the ole #2" (the mustard burger) from Sonic.  Sure it's a classic and it's always bangin'.  But when you want to spice things up just a little bit, or are extra hungry, this burger is a killer.
