Are there trips you would have gone on but decided not to due to the hassles of air travel?  I know I've skipped a couple and/or loaded up the car.

I don't even want to get into the recent controversy over girls wearing leggings on planes. The news is filled with regular reports of jackassery before, after and during plane flights. I'm not talking about the passengers either. Now, in fairness, there are about 22,000 flights a day in the U.S. alone.

You would think with that many flights, and that many passengers that the airlines could invest in some non-invasive screening technology and regular training for those people who have to enforce it. Pat-downs and ill-trained employees just make for a few too many passenger experiences.

The airlines are going to find out soon enough that half-assing it is going to cost them money. People will get more and more fed up. People will conduct business over the internet and hit the road just like me.
