Alanis Morrisette Covers Green Day

Alanis Morrisette is almost a parody of herself these days.  I don't really mean that as a bad thing, but this woman has a strong style and nobody sounds like her.  For this reason, when she does a cover it comes off as a weird combination of a tribute and a joke.  More after the jump.

With Billie Joe Armstrong off at rehab, Alanis Morrisette stepped in on the outdoor stage on the Jimmy Kimmel show delivering a badass version of "Basketcase".  The song takes on a whole new meaning when you hear Alanis sing it and think about the fact that Billie Joe is in rehab.  Check it out:
