All Opinions Are Welcome, But Some Are Worth Much More Than Others

This is my 4938th blog (with these web tools). I used to write messages to an email list before there was such a thing as blogs.  The crazy thing is, I have never been wrong.

That's how opinions are. There are no wrong opinions. There is wrong information and misguided facts, but opinions technically can't be wrong. They can be stupid, but you're welcome to have an opinion on anything you want.  All of this may have you saying "no, duh", but I sure have had my fair share of people try to tell me I'm wrong.

I also find it odd that people get so upset about opinions that differ from theirs. Opinions are necessary fuel to help find the facts. In short, don't get mad, prove your point. I don't pay much attention to other peoples opinions on the web anymore. The problem is, I don't have a basis to judge a random persons opinion on. I can't measure it based on a person I don't know.

I dealt with this Monday. While I was giving blood, there was some moron trashing the radio station (don't worry, you guys already took care of him). Well, this radio station has helped innumerable charities, blood drives, food drives and more. This radio station is responsible for gathering swimming pools full of blood with our blood drives.  Then, this joker thinks we shouldn't be on the air because he doesn't agree with our "opinion"?  I blew it off, because I've found that the people who will try to take you down on the internet aren't worth your time. They are not the community leaders, the helpers and the good people. It's just people who do nothing but look to bring others down to their level.

So there you go. Blog number 4938 in the books. Use this information to take others opinions lightly, to not be afraid to speak out,  and to EARN the right to have an opinion by being a force for good among your friends and/or your community.
