And the Grammy For Best Metal Performance Goes To…

What bands come to mind when you think you think, "metal bands?" Machine Head? Maybe Exodus? Or, maybe bands like Judas Priest, Slipknot, and Mastodon?

If one of these bands, or even a similar one comes to mind then you and I obviously have a very different idea of what a metal band sounds like than the folks at the Grammy's!

In a pre-televised ceremony today the award for the metal category was handed out to; are you ready, Jack Black and Kyle Gass; aka, Tenacious D for their cover of The Last in Line by Dio.

Not saying the cover is particularly bad, I just think maybe there are other bands doing their own stuff that might have been more deserving of the award... Granted, that is just my opinion, but...
