I read something in the news and I really wanted to call b.s. on it.  The fact is though, I haven't been in a game room in forever.  The last time I went it was just the adult version of the Copper Caboose, with a bunch of retirees plunking quarters/tokens into machines for prizes.

Well evidently some of these game rooms crossed the line into "illegal gambling" one way or another and were shut down.  Now along comes Mr. T.V. morality saying these places attract prostitution and drugs.  This seems like real "1950's Reefer Madness" thinking to me.  One vice does not lead to another vice in most cases.  In fact, one of the points Mr. "been nowhere don't know nothing" made was that it took business away from legitimate Bingo Halls.  That in itself says you're not against gambling, you're against a TYPE of gambling.  I know you've been told otherwise your whole life, but lotteries, bingo halls and slot machines are the same thing.  You put some money in in hopes of getting more out.  It's pretty simple.

So anyways, I'm asking you guys.  Is there any more or less crime in these game rooms than in any other place of it's size?  I kind of think it's b.s. to say these places "attract crime", but I need your personal experience to shed some light on this.
