Alamo Drafthouse CEO Tim League Has a Predictably Great Response to Texting in Theaters
The Alamo Drafthouse is built on a simple concept: great movies, good food, and most important of all — don’t talk or use your cell phone in the theater, or they will not hesitate to kick you out without a refund. Drafthouse CEO Tim League has devoted his brand to focusing on why we go to theaters in the first place, which is to watch movies, despite what some movie-goers and major corporate chains would have you believe. Following AMC’s briefly disastrous flirtation with allowing people to text in their theaters, League delivered a very thoughtful response, but if you’d rather watch a TL;DR version, you can see his predictably great reaction to this ill-conceived concept in the video above.
‘Deadpool 2’ Gets Official Confirmation With Ryan Reynolds and Director Tim Miller Returning
Three days before Deadpool even hit theaters, word got around that Fox was already developing a sequel with screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick returning. Since then we’ve heard a lot about what to expect from the sequel (Cable, mostly) despite the fact that Fox had yet to make an official announcement. That changed today at CinemaCon, of course, where the studio made it all very officially official, confirming the return of both Ryan Reynolds and director Tim Miller for Deadpool 2.

Alden Ehrenreich, the charming breakout star of the Coen brothers’ Hail, Caesar! has reportedly emerged as the top pick, edging out his fellow Han Solo hopefuls for the highly-coveted role.

‘Star Wars’ Will Soon Have Its First Openly Gay Character
Much has been made of the diversity in the new era of Star Wars, with J.J. Abrams smartly casting the franchise’s first black and female leading characters in John Boyega’s Finn and Daisy Ridley’s Rey. They weren’t the only diverse part of The Force Awakens, which boasted a noticeably varied assortment of genders and ethnicities in its supporting and extras casting, but many fans are still wondering when — or if — we might see an openly gay character in the newly inclusive franchise. According to J.J. Abrams, it will happen, and soon.
‘Avatar’ Baddie Stephen Lang Wants to Play Cable in the ‘Deadpool’ Sequel
Before Deadpool even had a chance to obliterate records at the box office over the weekend, Fox had already given the green light for a sequel, while Ryan Reynolds has been teasing the appearance of fellow comic book character Cable in the next film. But who could possibly play the warrior mutant best known from the New Mutants and X-Force? If Avatar star Stephen Lang has his way, it’ll be him.
