NFL Bigots and Hypocrites Get Shut Down by Jon Stewart and Dallas Sportscaster Dale Hansen

There has been harsh criticism of NFL prospect, Michael Sam, who recently announced he was gay. Sam was arguably the best defensive player in college football last year and was expected to be a high first-round pick in this year's draft. That is, until he announced he was gay. Then, all of the sudden, bigots and hypocrites alike began to criticize Sam's ability to fit in with the other players. Some saying his presence would make thing's uncomfortable for the rest of the NFL.

Well, Jon Stewart and WFAA/Dallas Sportscaster Dale Hansen took to their respective shows to show support for Sam and destroy the myth that Sam wouldn't fit in well in the NFL.

Abilene Twins Born in Different Years Make National News — Mother Plans on Giving Them Their Own Birthday Parties

According to ABC News, three sets of New Year's twins were born in different years -- one twin born at the tail end of 2013 and the other at the beginning of 2014. What's even more special about this rarity is that one set of those twins was born right here in Abilene. To top it all off, the Abilene twins and mother made national news, including ABC and NBC.

Deployed U.S. Airman Returns Home Early to Surprise Son at Football Game

When you're in a military family, you spend many days and nights without loved ones because of deployment. Well, Master Sergeant Joseph Martel returned home from deployment, a month earlier than his son thought he was coming home.

To make a long story short, Martel was able to dress up as an opposing player on the team his son was playing in football. Midway through the game, the refs called players to the middle of the field for a meeting. At that point, the father removed his helmet so his son could see him and the tears flowed and rightfully so.
