Wes

I have a beautiful wife and daughter, I absolutely love to rock and I occasionally pickup the bass guitar (a lack of talent has never stopped me).  Among my other interests are horror movies, tattoos and computer RTS games.  I have a cat named Wolf. I am one of the Co-Owners of Nightmare On 19th Street.

Secrets From My Personal Facebook Feed

So the story of my personal Facebook feed is kind of strange. I created one, hated it and left Facebook. Later I took over the RockShow Facebook page and dumped every single person down to zero because I didn't want anyone to think that MY personal feed represented what we did on the show (lost 5000 people, took almost three days). About 3700 came back and I dumped them again. Now I sit with a little over 600 friends and they represent everyone from the music industry to a few city officials to out and out gangstas.

Do You Have Any Idea What A Fence Between Mexico And Texas Would Cost?

Okay, yet another Texas candidate talking about a fence between Mexico and Texas. Does anyone realize the border is 1254 miles long? That would still allow people to go around the ends, so we'd have to work with other states. Plus, if that isn't patrolled, people can just go over or under it (a story about tunnels is on the news ever few weeks).

Guardians Of The Galaxy Spoiler [VIDEO]

If you haven't seen Guardians Of The Galaxy yet, don't watch this. Stop now.  There is a very fun, very heartwarming sequence at the end. I made sure to not spoil this scene by not even showing you what Drax The Destroyer is looking at.  This little clip meant so much to people who have seen the movie that the studio actually released the clip.  I'm telling you guys, if you haven't seen the movie, you might even find this clip to be cheesy, but those of us who have seen it, can't see this hopeful (in context) scene enough.

The Ice Water & Tacocat Challenges [VIDEO]

Let's jump ahead five years from now.  It's time for the VH1 "I Love 2014" special.  They will have a hack comedian talking while they roll footage of people dumping buckets of water over their heads and say "remember the ice bucket challenge?", then unfortunately they will probably say, "sadly ALS is still a thing"  (yes I have hope they will find a cure, but if we were on the cusp of solving it it five years, we'd probably know).

Anyways, I'm a huge fan of giving all you can back to the world. I'm not so much of a fan of gimmicky stuff.

The Offspring Bounce Back With Animated Two Song Video

I always wondered why 2012's "Days Go By" album ceased promotion after just two singles (the title track and "Turning Into You).  There was a ton of excellent material on that album, including the very fun "I Wanna Secret Family With You".

Now on tour in support of the 20th anniversary of their "Smash" release, The Offspring are stealing the show everywhere they play and have decided to revive their last l.p. with a two song animated video.

A Word On Depression And Robin Williams [VIDEO]

People these days don't understand how big a celebrity could get in the old days.  Robin Williams was EVERYWHERE, from t.v. to lunchboxes, to movies and magazines.  Celebrity in the days of three channels was insane.

People also don't understand depression, how a man who seems to have everything can feel so hopeless.
