Things That Go Bump In The Nightmare, With Mike Driver [Photos]
[UPDATE: Reposting with Pictures of Mike's Adventures in Nightmare Land added, you decide how brave he was...(10-21-11) Carry On...]
From Mike Drivers post earlier this week:
It's that time of year again where we all start to pay a little bit more attention to all the creeks and bumps in the night. You can deny it all you want but even the most brave among us start to question whether ghosts and demons are real during the Halloween season. Friday night Woody and I put on our game faces and made our annual trip through Nightmare on 19th, (For the record she wanted to go first so I could catch her if she got so scared she fainted...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!).
Nightmare On 19th Street – You Can Run, But You Can’t Hide! (Photos)
Run little children Run! Thursday night was a blast. This was the perfect night to take an outside pee. The weather was perfect, the lines were short and the actors were super charged. With fewer visitors standing in line everyone got more... Special Attention... Here is a tease from last night. The complete set will follow later on Facebook. (Photos following the jump)
Nightmare On 19th Street – Bigger And Badder (Photos)
After watching the expanding of Blood Moon Manor and Dr. Nexum's Sanitarium plus the building of the all new City Of The Lost, this summer, I could not wait to see the park in action. Each haunt is about one third larger than last year, and the Graveyard and Badger Holler are still there for a midnight stroll in between haunts. (Photos follow the jump)
Colossus of Rhodes, Blindfold Charlie Rock Wreckers (8-19-11) [PICS]
Colossus of Rhodes, Blindfold Charlie, Another day Undecided and Skies Over Paris took turns rattling the walls at WRECKERS Friday night (8-19-11). A nice crowd came out to show support for our local musicians, and all four bands made it well worth the time invested. Add to the great music, the low ticket price and even lower priced drinks made for an excellent evening of rock and roll! (PHOTOS follow the jump.)
You Just Gotta Love the Spirit of Baron Batch!
Former Texas Tech running back Baron Batch was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 7th round of this year's NFL Draft. He wowed in the limited number of practices that he had so far and was really making ground. That's until he went down with an injury.
Saliva & Filter Blow Out Jake’s Backroom! [PICS]
I was quite disappointed when I was unable to take concert photos of the Saliva/Filter show Friday night, especially after hearing my son's review and the newest album. But alas, my spirits have been lifted thanks once again to our Photo Wizard JOHN BERRY...
Nightmare On 19TH Street 2011, City Of The Lost Preview
After an absence of several months, I decided to stop in again on the Masters of Horror down at Nightmare on 19th Street. I could not wait to sneak a preview of this years new haunt, City Of The Lost.
This time as I retraced our previous route, I was totally amazed by the incredible landscape that began to take shape all around me. This is like nothing the guys have done before, their incredible vision is now becoming reality. Even though The City Of The Lost is still far from finished, there is no doubt this one is going to be an amazing attraction. Photos follow the jump.
Jackyl Plus Driver’s Birthday Equals Controlled Mayhem [PICS]
WRECKERS, Lubbock's newest concert venue, withstood it's first trial by fire Saturday night (7-2-11), as Jackyl returned to town to once again help celebrate KFMX DJ Mike Driver's birthday.
Rock Show – 4th of July Crotch Rockets Rebooted
Tonight, as I sat by the fire pit and listened to a few firecrackers popping in the distance, I realized how much I missed watching the rockets that normally lit the southern sky for hours.
JACKYL Returns To The Hub City! The RockShow Flashbacks (VIDEO)
Jackyl is returning to Lubbock Saturday July 2 at Wreckers, a new venue in the depot district. If Mike Driver's last birthday bash is any indication, we are going to have great time! Here are videos from Driver's last birthday romp. Full Throttle Saloon, Squidbillies, Jesse James Beer and Pulling out his Dong are all covered! Videos follow the jump.
