This is the first half of the In This Moment meet-n-greet at Triple J Chophouse and Brew Co. Where over 100 fans showed up for the open meet-n-greet, all part of the FMX 30th Anniversary Birthday Bash, March 5, 2011
Despite several setbacks, Saturday (3-5-11) had finally arrived, and it was time for the KFMX 30th Anniversary Birthday Bash. The day was kick started with the IN THIS MOMENTmeet-n-greet at Triple Js Chophouse and Brew Pub, followed by the KORN and DISTURBEDmeet-n-greets, and ending with the most incredible rock experience that I've seen/heard/felt in a long time! The crowd was the largest most energized that I've ever seen in the fair park coliseum, and they were completely under the control of the music.
Just as threatened, Justin Bieber was Blown Away tonight on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation "Targets Of Obsession" (2-17-11). When CBS said that he would not be back, they meant it. It was not a kind Pop death, but a hard core Rock and Roll kind of death, as he took on a dozen well armed officers at close range. Blood flew everywhere as the teen idol was cut down in his prime... may he rest in peace... AGAIN!! This is not his first death! See the videos!
After three weeks of having only Country Shows to cover, I was beginning to go into Rock Withdrawals. Being Friday afternoon, I decided to stop by The Voodoo Lounge at Jake's Sports Bar and have a quick drink with Mike Driver. On the drive over, I heard Driver talking about the Farewell tour of some band. A possible Rock Fix! When I arrived at the backroom, I was met by a Wall Of Metal! Yes, I was emerged in metal and judging by the sold out show and enthusiasm from the crowd, I was not the only one in need of a Rock Fix!
Join us at the Voodoo Lounge at Jake's Sports Club on 50th and Slide every Friday from 4pm. to 7pm., with your host Mike Driver & the FMX Road Crew. The Crew varies weekly, but we ALWAYS have a good time. Come let Driver give ya a FREE HUG! Photos follow the jump.
Warning: See that Burger? It's called the "Hamburger from HELL" and it lives up to it's name! YEEHAAT!
The Rock Show's Heathen and Wes hosted the South Plains Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Ring Girl Competition held at Bash Riprock's 2 Friday night (1-20-11). Three rock bands including Somar, Fluid Frequency and Cleanly Ohm kept everyone entertained, but then, so did Heathen and Wes! I'm just sayin' that Beer, DJs and microphones are a dangerous combination. I tried to keep them contained as best as possible, but when The Rooster and more KFMX crew showed up, containment failed, I admitted defeat and joined the party. Details, Pictures and Video follow the jump...
