Avatar Returns to Jake’s Backroom on October 15th

Well, it just wouldn't be the Halloween season without an appearance from Avatar at Jake's.

Our favorite Swedish metal boys will be returning mid-October. Right now there is no word on openers, but you can bet that this bill will grow as time goes by. Tickets will go on sale this weekend at Ralph's and at dinproductions.com.

Avatar is always a delight, having played Jake's Backroom, the Pavilion and even the big stage at the Amp. Some of their more recent stuff has taken a turn for the melodic while still delivering crushing riffs and creepy themes.

There's no word on whether they are planning to drop some new tunes, but the last album was chock full of good stuff. Here's one of my favorites:
