Avenged Sevenfold Announce 2012 Tour Plans

After taking a few well-deserved months off, Avenged Sevenfold have announced a handful of tour dates for this spring.

In our interview with frontman M. Shadows late last year, he hinted that the band would hit Southeast Asia in 2012. Now, A7X have unveiled dates for not only Southeast Asia, but also the Middle East.

In addition, Shadows has commented on Avenged Sevenfold being one of the acts for Metallica‘s ‘Orion Music + More‘ festival, which is set to take place this June in Atlantic City, New Jersey. “We really hadn’t planned to play the United States in 2012,” said Shadows of their surprising involvement. “But after Lars [Ulrich] called to describe their plans for Orion and asked us to join them, we decided there’s no way we would miss it.”

Shadows is also excited to hit the road in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. “We are excited to go back to the Far and Middle East,” said Shadows. “We played to some of the most amazing crowds when we toured the album there, and we can’t wait to bring our live show back to our friends in those regions.”
