I hate to tell you this, but Avenged Sevenfold can't play Lubbock.  Not on this tour anyway.  It's not an ego thing, it's not a crowd thing, it's a venue thing.

The current Avenged Sevenfold tour is getting rave reviews with it's giant oversize stage. The problem is, it's a "giant oversize stage".  According to our promoter, the staging is too big for Fairpark, The Amp and even the United Spirit Arena.

So have we seen the last of Avenged?  My guess is no.  They'll probably scale it back a bit in the future, or even come out with some other stage setup that can be more easily packed into venues sometime in the future.  I'm also guessing that there will be a d.v.d. of this tour put out at some point.  You just don't build a stage this size and not document every moment of it.

To get an idea of how big this stage is, check out this video of "Unholy Confession", it's not that great but it will give you an idea of how massive this stage setup is.
