It's been a wildly successful run for Avenged Sevenfold, especially as of late with the band's new album "Hail to the King" which not only reached Billboard's top spot in the U.S., but the U.K. also.

Personally, this album is pretty kick ass. I hear lots of ingredients that came out of some older metal roots. Metallica, Pantera, hell, even Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath could easily be linked to this new material, and with a pristine production value, the album shines.

With 159,000 copies sold in its first week on the market, "Hail to the King" is a perfect example that buying music isn't exactly dead just yet, which is a beautiful thing. All in all, the album is actually worth the $9.99 on iTunes or a trip down to wherever you get your CD's. Check it out.
