A public memorial was held for Slayer Guitarist Jeff Hanneman on May 23rd who had passed away on May 2nd. Some very cool video footage of the memorial can be seen here.

Slayer was formed way back in 1981 and have stapled themselves at the top of Thrash Metal and are apart of "The Big 4" which includes Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax.

Slayer will continue to make music and tour with Gary Holt of Exodus taking up the spot for Jeff Hanneman.

As we heard Dave Lombardo drummer of Slayer was recently replaced by drummer Paul Bostaph who was Slayer's drummer from 1992 until 2001.
