BBQ Lovers Rejoice! The Hub City BBQ Cookoff Gets Smoking Today

It's a good day for all of my fellow lovers of tasty Texas smoked goodness. Rejoice! 115 competitors will be smoking; while we're choking down slabs of BBQ done the way it's supposed to be done...The West Texas Way!

Most of us know there’s nothing better than juicy ribs, sausage, and melt in your mouth smoked brisket. You know the competition will be intense with the title for the best meat in Lubbock up for grabs.

The event will feature young rockers from The School of Rock, and Bart Crow will put us all in the mood to scoot-a-boot.

The 13th annual Hub City BBQ Cookoff gets fired up today at 5 p.m. on Broadway from Ave. J through Ave. O.
