Bobby and Shanna Lockhart: We’re Shocked by Our Wedding Ceremony Going Viral

It's the wedding ceremony that has made headlines across the country.

Bobby and Shanna Lockhart stopped by the Townsquare Media offices in Lubbock to talk about the attention-grabbing roller skating ring bearer photo and how they planned the spectacular part of their wedding ceremony.

According to Shanna Lockhart, the appearance of DQ4Equis member Quis in Superman underwear and little else was a compromise between her and her husband-to-be.

"Bobby loves [Quis'] videos on YouTube, and we saw that Bobby posted on Facebook stating that that was how he was going to attend the wedding," said Shanna. "So my compromise for him not dressing like that at the wedding was to hire [Quis] or someone like him to play the ring bearer."

The plan was actually a closely-guarded secret among the wedding party.

"I didn't tell my best man," Bobby said. Only a few choice people knew about the unique ring bearer entrance ahead of time, including one of Shanna's friends who was tasked with making sure the floor was safe so the roller skating Quis wouldn't fall during the stunt.

When it was time to present the rings, the party feigned ignorance about who had the rings. That was the signal for the roller skating ring bearer to make his grand entrance.

Bobby said he had to fight back his smirk -- at least until Quis threw open the door and started roller skating down the aisle in his Superman skivvies.

While the ring bearer entrance drew laughs from those attending the wedding, the Lockharts said they never expected this type of reaction online.

"It was never our intention, our intention was just to have a wedding that was us," said Shanna.
