That headline is no joke. Breaking Benjamin's performance at the 2015 FMX Freakfest might go down in Lubbock history as one of the best rock performances ever.

It's rare for frontman Ben Burnley to not be fired up during a show. But it was different Sunday night.

Maybe it was the fall weather. Maybe it was some sort of unspoken connection between Breaking Benjamin and Lubbock. Whatever it was, it was electric.

The band played longer than most expected, but nobody was complaining. It's not farfetched to say the crowd would have been perfectly happy if the band had played for another hour.

Covering years of material, Breaking Benjamin also broke out a medley of songs they call favorites, including Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," Tool's "Schism" and Pantera's "Walk."

And it was hard not to go wild when Burnley broke out a lightsaber for the band's cover of "The Imperial March" from Star Wars.

But before Breaking Benjamin wrapped their epic set, Burnley invited a group of kids onto the stage to rock out. Two words: Class. Act. It's a moment those kids will never forget.
