Governor Abbott talks a good game, but he doesn't walk it. Abbott "blessed" the idea of the Sheriff of Brewster County putting crosses on cop cars. The Freedom From Religion Foundation Suit filed suit in March and just won big.

Even the politicians of Brewster County knew what the Sheriff was doing was wrong. After the Sheriff's move, the council voted a ban on all signs on county-owned property.

Now, the courts have ruled that the Sheriff was wrong, and that not only do they have to remove the crosses, they have to not use them in the future, pay the attorney fees for both sides and some small damages to the two plaintiffs that brought the suit.

What really threw the Freedom From Religion Foundation was that Governor of Texas was pretty much encouraging the use of crosses on cars. I think anyone with a rudimentary education will tell you this is a direct violation of the separation of church and state. So much for Gov. Abbott calling the Federal Government "lawless" when he encourages this kind of nonsense.

Gov. Abbott also said he would fight the marriage equality issue and left county clerks hanging, and now is encouraging schools to not follow Federal Transgender Guidelines.

So, let's be clear. Whether you like our present Governor or not, he does not follow through, and he does not have the backs of his followers. He's a clown who is constantly thumbing his nose at the Federal Government, then having it shoved back in his eye.

In just this short time, he's proven himself to be amazingly incapable of running one of the greatest states in the Union.
