[Original story] Sad news, Buckcherry fans: the band has postponed several tour dates this summer.

Buckcherry broke the news on their Facebook page Friday (July 10), chalking up the decision to singer Josh Todd's need to recuperate:

To our fans, we regret to inform you that Buckcherry has to postpone our upcoming tour dates between July 18 and August 22. Josh's doctor has ordered him to go on strict vocal rest for the next several weeks in order to recuperate. We appreciate your support and understanding and we’ll be rescheduling as many of the dates as we can for later in the Fall. We’re excited to be back at full strength to tour in support of our new record "Rock 'N’ Roll" that's out on August 21st! We can’t wait for you to hear it.

Buckcherry was slated to play Lubbock Tuesday, July 21 at Jake's Backroom. No word on when the band will make up the show.

The band's affected tour dates also include stops in El Paso (July 18) , Odessa (July 19), Houston (August 11), Corpus Christi (August 12) and Longview (August 15).
