The upcoming Buckcherry album won't be an experimental jazz record, but it could be very different than anything they have ever done before.Buckcherry is currently writing new tunes for their sixth album, with plans to move into the studio in early 2012. Guitarist Keith Nelson says the band plans to advance their sound beyond what they have done on their last five records. Nelson states Buckcherry is going to "shoot for the stars on this with everything around the record, from the concept to the packaging. We're really just trying to take it to the next level."

The new disc, due out possibly in the late spring, will follow up 2010's rocker "All  Night Long".
