In a day full of gas conservation and blown tires, Carl Edwards had to outlast Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski, and Denny Hamlin in "overtime".

The Green-White-Checkered finish was the icing on the cake of a crazy race day, as multiple cars, including Danica Patrick's #10 GoDaddy Chevy, blew their right front tire and slid up into the wall.

The race was also headlined by the need to save fuel during the last stretch of 70 laps. A caution with three laps to go caused the front-running drivers to shut their engines off and coast for the majority of the caution laps.

Denny Hamlin pulled out all the stops and used the well-known Phoenix shortcut on the back straightaway to take over Brad Keselowski and come within a foot of Jimmie Johnson to finish third.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. finished fifth as Jeff Gordon finished ninth and pole sitter Mark Martin ended up in 21st.

Woody will be in Vegas next week for the Kobalt Tools 400!
