It's rare to have a 'great' Netflix find, the best you can do most times is 'pretty good'. "Doghouse' was not only a great find, it ended up being not only one of my favorite zombie movies ever, it ended up being one of my favorite overall movies ever. Oh man I'm excited about this one. Chloe Grace Moretz is a freakin' star and I'm counting on her to really bring this home. Let's also not forget that her psycho-religious nut mom will be played by the exceptional Julianne Moore. This could definitely be one remake that will be worth your time. More after the jump.
I have a mini-treasure trove here for you! If you're lazy or cheap, I have the original movie "Willard" in it's entirety for you. I also have the trailer and a weird video from the reboot for you. You have to understand that the original movie "Willard" was landmark. It was so landmark that it spawned a sequel (which didn't happen that often in those days). The sequel even featured the theme song "Ben" performed by Micheal Jackson. It's also the perfect horror movie to 'celebrate' Bosses Day! More after the jump.
As a horror fan, I have often said to myself, 'where's all the great new characters"? Why can't Hollywood come up with another Freddy, Frankenstein or Jigsaw? I think the answer may be "The Collector" from "The Collection". More after the jump.
I personally don't think the Friday the 13th movies hold up that well. As bad as they look in retrospect, they aren't as bad as the remake. In their day though, there was nothing as wild as a Friday the 13th movie. People actually tried to have these movies banned they were so gruesome for their time. More after the jump
Lubbock Texas is extremely lucky to have the State's Largest Haunted Theme Park right in it's backyard. Nightmare On 19th Street offers hours of screams and entertainment each night that it is open. Each year it grows larger and better. As you can imagine, the park does not run itself, but instead requires 100 to 150 people a night to keep things running smoothly. (More following the jump.)
Scream was the first movie I ever watched twice, back-to-back. It took everything I loved about horror movies, stripped away the cheese and brought it up to date. One of the most 'shocking' things it did was take the biggest 'star' and kill her off first. Drew Barrymore was up for the challenge, and thus, an "Billy & Stu" hollowed her out like a pepper ready to be stuffed. More after the break.

Cabin In The Woods was released this past Tuesday on d.v.d. and I was quick to scoop it up. I don't buy many d.v.d.s anymore, but I had to have this one not only for repeated viewings, but to support this kind of film making. I, in fact, like the movie even more now that I've thoroughly digested it. The movie serves as a bookend of modern horror that started with John Carpenters Halloween. As one of the actors told us on the RockShow, love it or hate it, you will think differently of horror movies that you've already seen and will see because of it.
