Let's start by throwing away some labels here. Liberal, conservative, mean whatever. They are little compartments that politicians and the media like to throw people into. I don't believe anyone truly belongs 100% to either group. It is time we get back to voting for candidates based on the issues and not based on what party they belong to. When you vote straight up party without looking into the issues, you're just feeding a machine that was built to work for somebody else.
Jim Gaffigan's latest special is "Obsessed". Gaffigan is out of Illinois but his topics are incredibly universal. Chief among his "obsessions" is food, that's why I selected the upcoming bit called "Southern Food".
As I sit here with a humdinger of a cold, I got to wondering, "how much snot am I putting out?" It does seem to be on an epic scale, so I started doing some research. Now while it's doubtful you'll hit a cup every hour, it is possible.
My route takes me from the North Loop and I-27 (not too far from the airport) to the South Loop, then down Quaker to our rocking' studios at 4413 82nd (#300 so we can see out over the city). This morning it was awesome to see a LACK of emergency vehicles on the roadway.
