Tonight after dinner Woody asked me if I would mind going to the store with her since we had not seen each other all day. I didn't even think to ask her what we were going to the store for, I just went along for the company and time with my best girl.
This may be the most awesome suburban light show in the history of Christmas. If you live in fear of a jolly red-coated man with flying venison caving in your roof, your best bet to keep him away is to blast some heavy metal music. Combine that with an adorable light show, and you'll avoid that stocking full of coal we all know you deserve.
Worry not, Metallica fans, for your thrash heroes have officially begun the writing process for a new album. As the follow-up to the band's 2008 album, 'Death Magnetic,' the as-yet-untitled album has so far been described by drummer Lars Ulrich as "heavy," "energetic" and "fast."
How do you explain the unexplainable to children? Today, parents across the country, including myself, were faced with this -- fumbling over words while explaining the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown - located only 20 miles away from my own daughter's elementary school.

UPDATE 6:30 p.m.: Originally it was thought that Adam Lanza, the gunman, shot his mother at the Sandy Hook Elementary school, where she was a teacher's aide. ABC has learned that, in fact, Nancy Lanza was killed at her home (by her son) prior to the massacre. He then drove to the school, where he killed 20 children and six adults, before killing himself.
