Lubbock has a lot more cool music history than many people recognize. This picture proves it. This is a probably teenage Stevie Ray Vaughan hanging out with Lubbock's own legendary C.B. Stubblefield, aka "Stubb's" at the former Stubb's restaurant here.

The Facebook page Traces Of Texas posted this a few days ago. An anonymous reader sent the picture in. I believe the original still hangs in above the bar in the old Stubb's building, now the Cast Iron Grill in the Depot District. The Facebook page admin thinks the pic was taken around 1970-1972 which would make young Stevie a teenager, since he was born in 1954. SRV started his music career around age 16 so its completely feasible that this pic is around that time. Also, thanks to a comment on the post, notice that Stubbs is wearing a Meadow Brook Golf Course jacket.
