The crew from Nightmare On 19th Street had fun with this one. We have been wanting to build a house for CASA for many moons. Building crazy stuff is just what we do. We've built a crashed pirate ship, a drive-in movie screen, and hundreds of smaller projects.

We discussed our idea with CASA. Generally builders provide either a playhouse or a doghouse. We thought it best we go with the doghouse because we didn't think a spooky design would be great for kids.  We also wanted it to look like it belonged in a creepy old movie so we gave it a black and white look.  We used a picture of the mansion on the hill from Psycho/Bates motel. I think we nailed it.  Also, do keep in mind that if you don't have our dark sense of humor, this doghouse could easily be painted with some bright colors.  The doghouse is built on top of a pallet to keep your dog off the ground and the entire back is hinged for cleaning or the adding of bedding.  This house can accommodate a really large dog (easily up to German Shepard size or larger).
