It's great that so many of you support the military so strongly. I also believe it is one of the most noble and selfless choices a person can make. Now there are a few people who are trying to use your blind devotion to the military to put others down.

Strap in kids and put on your thinking cap, I'm about to show you how the internet is full of crap!

Please feel free to really soak in the graphic below.  It is specifically designed to put down the fast food workers, it is also full of b.s.

My first thought when looking at this was, was this created to support soldiers or to crap on fast food workers?  It's obviously to crap on the fast food workers, but since they made the comparison let's continue it.

So what is a fast food worker worth?  Let me just say that the fast food "system" is really set up to work with minimum wage employees and it DOES SEEM that they'd always trade for cheaper employees rather than have any kind of rewards (raises) for those who stick around and do a good job.  Is it easy?  Uh, hell no.  I cooked and scrubbed the grill at a Dairy Queen and even though I was power lifting weights at the time, my forearms were rubber by the time I was done. Then there's the other cleaning, the pissed off customers, the pace and making sure you don't poison people with bad food.  So....It ain't that easy.

Next, since they brought it up, a soldier makes "$25,913 a year".  That's very deceptive information. It's about what a soldier makes in SALARY , not the complete value of their training, housing and other benefits. When you roll those things in, the average active duty soldier receives $99,000 a year in compensation (2010 figures).  So, I'm going to be really evil here and ask you, haven't you, at least once in your life, met a solider and thought "they took THAT guy?".  Okay, now that some of you just admitted that, can you believe "THAT guy" was a $99,000 a year investment by the armed services? Oh, and you do realize that some of those jobs in the service are cooking, right?

This is called "logical thinking" folks. The people behind this meme want you to think you're making some deep insight, but it's only a "skin-deep" insight. Do a little thinking and a little math and their crap just doesn't add up. So my real opinion?  Fast food workers are worth more than what they are getting, and MOST soldiers are priceless. I also think it's a very, very cheap shot to use your patriotism to put a whole class of people down.
