Controversy Over Painfully Awkward Rob Lowe Commercial (Video)

How many of you have seen the DirecTV commercials featuring Rob Lowe?  Personally, I find them very funny and in no way offensive. The characters Mr. Lowe portrays in the commercials touch on some insecurities we all have in one form or another.

Apparently there are people who are "highly offended" by these ads because they are targeting  "a real and very serious emotionally damaging issue."

One of the ads getting attention is the one with (painfully awkward Rob Lowe)  where he states he "can't go with other people in the room."

I don't think this is an uncommon issue because let's face it, it is kind of awkward to "go" with your boss next to you, or anyone else you're not extremely comfortable with--unless you've been drinking, then you will pretty much pee in front of the Pope if you have to.

But never fear we have the members of the International Paruresis Association (people who are too shy to pee in public) who seem to have a problem with Lowe's characters.
