The annual Lubbock ISD Band Extravaganza turned Plains Capital Park into marching band heaven. One highlight was a performance of Imagine Dragon's radio hit "Radioactive" by the Coronado High School attendance zone band.

Joining Coronado High School during the performance were the marching bands from Mackenzie Middle School, Irons Middle School and Wilson Middle School.

This year marked the event's 31st year and featured performances by several local schools, including Mackenzie Middle School and Coronado High School. Other songs performed by the marching bands included "We Will Rock You," "Party Rock Anthem" and "Grand Ole Flag."

The Texas Tech University's Goin' Band From Raiderland also performed live, wowing the audience with a medley of songs including the Texas Tech University Fight Song. For anyone who's ever been to a Tech football game, you already know just how loud the band can get. Suffice to say, they blew the crowd away.

More than 1,500 marching band members took the field during the Band Extravaganza, putting on an incredible show for family and friends gathered at the park.
