I recently trekked to Colorado Springs, Colorado to visit with Danny Worsnop and Jeff George of We Are Harlot to talk touring, their debut album and the obstacles they had to overcome to form the band.

When I first met Danny, he talked at length about his then side-project We Are Harlot and how stoked he was about it. As the years went by, that passion didn't dwindle. However, new music or a tour failed to materialize. Finally, after four years of waiting, we have We Are Harlot.

Sitting down with Danny Worsnop and Jeff George now, and I could still see the passion they have for this band -- a band that is no longer just a project or something on the back burner.

We Are Harlot hit with a bang in 2015 with new single "Dancing On Nails." Last year, they debuted "Denial" -- a track FMX had exclusively an hour before anyone else.

Danny and Jeff addressed what it was like go from side project to full-fledged band, noting obstacles they had to overcome.

"We've written hundreds and hundreds of songs, and there's always been something holding us back, someone trying to stop us from being able to play shows," said Worsnop.

Danny officially left his previous band, Asking Alexandria, earlier this year.

Jeff tackled the topic of what it was like writing with Danny and how they narrowed down those hundreds of songs for the album's track list.

"Seven of the songs on this record are from those first batch we wrote in those first few months because it was really organic," George explained. "There was never a wrong idea or anything that was thrown out."

Jeff also paid respect to Pantera and Van Halen.

"I've always loved bands that...really have an identity, and you hear those guys in those tunes," Jeff said. "And I'll say I'm a little biased, but I think that's something we have in this band. You can hear each of our personalities."

I will say this after watching the entire unedited interview, get ready for We Are Harlot to hit up some very huge festivals around the world and a huge North American Tour.

The self-titled debut album from We Are Harlot is set for a March 31 release date.
