I'm sure you watched Thursday night's matchup between #24 TCU and Texas Tech, but if you didn't, here's a recap.

If you were expected offensive fireworks, your hopes were probably slashed early in the second quarter. After an explosive first quarter from the Red Raiders, the game turned mainly defensive for both sides.

Over and over again the Tech defense bailed out the noticeably sputtering offense, an offense that didn't shine until in the middle of the fourth quarter when Baker Mayfield went down and Davis Webb stepped in, immediately providing a spark.

The final score ended up being Texas Tech over TCU 20 to 10, a much needed win for a young Tech team, a confidence and momentum builder, but most of all proof that Tech can hang with Big 12 competition.

Texas State is up next. Guns up.
