Now that the mornings are cool it is really beginning to feel like fall in West Texas, unfortunately there are a lot of people in the area who don't have coats to bundle up in as they head out to work and school.

As you guys know, we here at FMX are all about lending a helping hand to those in need, so with that in mind we are proud to announce we are partnering with Family Power Sports, Uni-First Uniform Service, Kings Highway Charters and Tours, and Ashley Furniture for Camping for Coats and Cans.

Here's the deal, starting Tuesday we'll be camping out at Family Power Sports (4202 West Loop 289) collecting your donations of coats (of all sizes) and canned goods for needy families here on the South Plains.

Uni-First will take the coats to be cleaned and then deliver them to the Mission Lubbock;   who will then make sure they get to those who need them. Your canned donations will be delivered to the South Plains Food Bank for distribution to local families.

Al you have to do is come by Family Power Sports and drop your (non-perishable) canned food items and your new or used coats off anytime between 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 through 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013.

So, come by and drop off your donations; and we'll get you signed up to win autographed items from Drowning Pool, Black Stone Cherry, 3 Doors Down, a recliner and rug from Ashley Furniture, Freakfest tickets, Nightmare on 19th passes and more.

Cash donations will gladly be accepted.
