Deftones Bassist Chi Cheng Passes Away At 42

Many rockers from multiple bands have sent their respects and condolences to Chi Cheng and his family after Cheng was pronounced dead early Saturday.

According to Cheng's mother, "his heart just suddenly stopped" as he was taken to the emergency room around 3 Saturday morning.

Cheng had been battling a semi-comatose state for four years after a very serious car accident left him partially unconscious since November of 2008.

Cheng was present on five Deftones albums, including White Pony, the band's self-titled album, and Saturday Night Wrist.
