The enclosed Dave Grohl meme is SO important, so spot on and such a great lesson. You can't be afraid to be bad at something because eventually you'll be good. Along the way, you just may have the time of your life.  (Caution Dirty Words)

I had fiddled a bit with guitars and basses a bit when I was younger, but didn't even give it a decent shot until I was past the age most people get on stage.  I finally got tired of watching musicians who took themselves too seriously and got together with some guys and just started bashing it out.    I always said, "I'm not a musician, I'm a rocker".  I finally got to the point where I didn't embarrass myself too bad. It was the best of times ever.

This is a great lesson about chasing dreams. Whether it's music, art, or even something like doing body work on cars, you have to not be afraid to suck.  Very few people are awesome on their first day of anything.  So maybe you always wanted to do magic? Why the heck not start today? Your friends are going to laugh at you and that's going to make you work harder and you're going to get better and along the way you're going to remember all those laughs you had along the way.   So what if you woke up one day and found that you were 40 or whatever and you never did any of the fun things you wanted to do?  You still can.  As long as your alive there is time to knock out a dream or two, you have to just not be afraid to suck.

I would like to thank Madmouth, Leroy "The Goat" Jenkins for posting this graphic and inspiring this blog.  If you get a chance, check out this incredibly talented metal rapper live.
