Doug Stanhope On What Makes Reality Shows Work [VIDEO]

Doug Stanhope used to be a Lubbock regular. Yes, there was a time when Lubbock had comedy clubs and everybody and their dog was trying to book comedians. Sadly, now that people need laughs more than ever, they seem unwilling to pony up seven bucks and the price of two mixed drinks. More after the jump.

Like Jimi Hendrix and even comedian Bill Hicks before him, Doug Stanhope had to go across the pond to be properly appreciated. This guy's wit and clarity of vision is amazing especially considering the amount of booze and/or chemicals he has or continues to put into his body.  Doug has found himself being the little "Andy Rooney" segment on a British T.V. show.  Here's Doug saluting the folks that make reality t.v. work.
