If I were to ask you what the Beatles and James Bond have in common you would you have an immediate answer or would you need some time to think about it? There is the obvious answer, all of them are British, and while that is in fact true, that would not be the answer I am looking for.

Some might know that the Beatles and James Bond have both been around for 50 years this month. While this is part of the answer, it's not the end of the commonalities.

In fact not only are both celebrating their 50th birthdays this year, but they have the same "birthday."

On October 5, 1962, the Beatles released Their first single, "Love Me Do." And the first James Bond movie, "Dr. No" was released.
