For those of you who missed the Carol of Lights and are looking for a fun family outing to get everyone in the holiday spirit, I suggest you head over to the National Ranching Heritage Center for their 35th annual Christmas celebration, Candle Light at the Ranch.

If you've never been to the Ranching Heritage Center, it is a museum with a number of historical homes from around Texas. Very, very cool place to go explore any time of year!

Enjoy the magic of a ranching Christmas; with scenes depicting how families and cowboys celebrated the season during each of the time periods represented by the homes.

This years event will take place this weekend, December 13 and 14th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. both nights.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted.

While you're there be sure to stop in at the 6666 Ranch for some hot chocolate or cider, sing along carols with a cowboy band, and a chance to write and send a letter to Santa.  And parents, he even sends a letter back.
