Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster return to Lubbock on January 27th inside Jake's Back Room. I'll confess, I know very little about this band other than they released one of my favorite songs of the year (and for whatever reason it didn't break through to the mainstream).
Has anybody invented the term "Hillbilly Metal"? Even though the bands don't really sound the same, I'd say Maylene is for fans of The Texas Hippie Coalition, Jackyl, The Four Horsemen, Zack Wylde and even Pantera. It's like metal with a swinging groove.
