Low Teens will be Buffalo-based hardcore veterans Every Time I Die's eighth studio effort. The album will be out Sept. 23 and the band has offered a glimpse of the record with two previously released singles and now, a third cut entitled "C++ (Love Will Get You Killed)" is available for listening in the video above.

Staccato guitar chords and a rolling bass line open up the song, letting loose with a bit more energy when singer Keith Buckley makes himself known with a scream. Employing his cleaner singing approach, his serpentine delivery snakes around the verse before using subdued moments to build tension before the song's more explosive moments. Volleying between these atmospheres, Every Time I Die create a clever sense of push and pull on "C++ (Love Will Get You Killed)."

Like every other song on the album, the lyrics were inspired by Buckley's harrowing experience as his wife underwent unexpected, life-threatening complications during the birth of their first child. Buckley abandoned the group's tour to be with his wife during the difficult time and he commented on the song, stating, “If you ever get to a moment in your life where mania and melancholy are coexisting in equal measures, it will feel like the end of the world. This song is about that moment.”

Speaking with Billboard, who premiered the song, Buckley described the experience, saying, “I had never felt so helpless. I could do nothing for her. I couldn’t tell her it was going to be okay. I couldn’t even tell her that death wouldn’t be better because I had no idea yet if our daughter had even made it. I kept asking doctors what the machines meant, and eventually I could tell they were sick of me asking so many questions. I realized that if I could only understand what their beeps meant I might have some hope. I might have some answers.” He then spent the time bouncing between his wife's room and writing lyrics, trying to deal with the emotional event.
