‘Evil Dead’ Will Now Be a Starz TV Series

I could not be happier about this. I know I'm not alone either. There are many of us fans of the Evil Dead Trilogy that hoped that this day would come. Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are continuing the story of Ash's fight against the Deadites to Starz.

The show is slated for 2015 and will be called "Ash Vs. The Evil Dead." Starz is committing to 10 episodes (I'll take it!).

The show is said to pick up in present day as an older Ash has spent his life avoiding responsibility. The show is also planned to have all of the hard core deadite killing and humor of the series.

What is especially cool is that Sam Raimi had an awesome run and great visuals with the Spartacus series on Starz. If he brings ANY of those production values to the new "Ash Vs. The Evil Dead" show, then we're in for a wild ride!
