I am often appalled at the lack of intelligence shown on Facebook.  We have people pretty much letting burglars know when they are on vacation, married people flirting right where their spouse can see it, and political views that are random, hateful and dumb.

The latest debate that is killing me is a post saying the following:

Let's be VERY clear on this: President OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American soldier killed him. A soldier that, just a few weeks ago, President Obama was debating on whether or not to pay. President Obama just happened to be the one in office when our soldiers finally found UBL and took him out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory. REPOST IF YOU AGREE.

So let's take this apart.

*Repost if you agree=do not think for yourself, spread my opinion intact around.

*"A soldier the President was debating on paying a week ago"=The President was presented with a Republican budget that also had other items from the Republican agenda attached"

*President Obama didn't kill Obama, an America soldier did=True, but all American soldiers take their orders from the Commander in Chief (Guess what, that means the President).  Obama ordered the plan.  He could have said, wait, take him alive, bomb him, put him in a dress, but no, he ordered a group of brave American servicemen to carry out this mission and they did what their President ORDERED them to do.  This also covers the asinine "the President just happened to be in office" statement (as if the soldiers took it upon themselves to fly into a sovereign country for the mission).

Now, I'm not "pro-Obama", I'm anti-stupid.  If you guys wanted to put forth a rational argument, you could say that the intelligence  to find Obama was obtained at GITMO, something Obama has promised to close (but evidently that intelligence was developed somewhat recently).

As they say guys, even a busted clock is right twice a day.  And DO NOT REPOST IF YOU AGREE WITH THIS.  Think for yourself and put up your own opinion.  Or better yet, maybe we shouldn't talk politics on Facebook and instead use the time and space to reconnect with the people we care about.
