Filmmaker Gives Close-Up View Of Chernobyl, Pripyat 28 Years Later

Many of us recall the day back in 1986 in which a nuclear disaster left the cities of Chernobyl and Pripyat completely abandoned. Danny Cooke decided to scope out these abandoned cities with a drone. What he caught is simply haunting.

Most of us know these scenes through pictures and newscasts. A lot of the younger viewers may recognize these places via Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Either way, the images and video provided below in Cooke's short film Postcards From Pripyat, Chernobyl are quite incredible.

What we see is nature being nature, animals roaming around, overgrown foliage, and eerily enough, absolutely no one but Cooke himself. It's even rumored that some people have actually chosen to live in these cities illegally, which makes this all the more creepy.
