Well here we go. Another school year is ready to rock. Well just in case you can't hear us kick off the year on the radio, we have everything ready to go for you right here. From the Deftones to the Ramones, we have five great back to school songs for you.

Pink Floyd-Another Brick In The Wall Part II

Teaching kids to conform. Beating them down. Grinding them out. There probably will never be another song that points out the downside of public education so well. The video from the movie even starts out with kids being shipped off to school concentration camp style.  This video is essential viewing. It's a bit weird hearing the actors doing the spoken/yelled parts from the album, but it's very cool when the kid is caught writing a poem (which turns out to be the words to another Floyd song).

    Van Halen-Hot For Teacher

What is even up with this video? Most of you don't even remember the proper intro. It's really bizarre. Why does Waldo the geek talk like John Wayne? Why does it matter that his socks were too loose? Most importantly, did David Lee Roth the bus driver inspire Otto on the Simpsons? Seriously, if you do nothing else, watch the first 20 seconds of this video. It's just weird.

    Deftones-Back To School (Mini Maggit)

We can't being to forgot this track from the Deftones. It originally wasn't even supposed to be on the White Pony album, it was actually written as a middle finger to the record company who wanted a "single for the album".  Who cares why it exists, it does, and we win!

    Alice Cooper-School's Out

In school, out of school, destroying schools. It's nearly every kids fantasy to just level the joint when you finally escape. School is just not fun for some people. Alice Cooper captured that better than anyone with this iconic song.

The Ramones-Rock And Roll High School

This is the title track to the movie of the same name. Here's a little trivia for ya. Did you know that the Ramones were not the first choice for the movie?  The first band approached was Cheap Trick.
